Banner Progress and Sign-Ups!

The Cage Match banner is underway! Here's a progress picture.

In the meantime, sign-up sheets are popping up at the local stores. I hope to see a great turnout regardless of your competitive nature. I encourage everyone to support their local stores, community, and players. It helps insure that other events can be successful and held in our area.

Excelsior joins the ranks!

Welcome Excelsior to the Alabama Cage Match. Their qualifier will be Sunday Feb 12th.

There's some fierce competition in the Birmingham area. I look forward to seeing everyone participate regardless of competitive level to support their local stores and community.

The Army Painter to provide additional prize support!

The guys at The Army Painter are tossing in some additional prize support for the Alabama Cage Match Finals. They have a great product line and we all look forward to their new line of Warpaints coming out in March 2012; they are going to match their primers 100%! Here's a brief snippet about,

With a common love for all toy soldiers and wargaming, both founders of The Army Painter share a total of 36 years gaming, painting and conversion experience.

Always having difficulties deciding what armies to field next, they have ended up with over 23 fully painted armies combined between them. Most painted in the old fashioned, hard and laboring way.

New Qualifier Date and a New Store!!!

Legion will be holding it's Qualifier on Sunday Jan 29th. Look to signing up soon! Remember, if you play at one store you cannot play at another.

Hello all,

Just wanted to invite C.A.G.E. and related gaming groups to Excelsior! in Hoover, AL, street address: 3150 B Lorna Road, 35216. We are a new store in the area, carrying comics and games, with a 3,000 sq ft. facility that has 6'x4' gaming tables (both for standing and sitting gamers). We've only been open a few days and are still ordering stock, but it's a good time to contact us if any of you are looking for something in particular to supplement your armies. 205-822-0227.

Another Qualifier Date

Visions in Montgomery has set their qualifier date for Feb 14th! Get in touch with Travis or the TO to sign-up soon!

New Qualifier Dates

The Foundry is holding their Qualifier on Saturday, Jan 14th, 2012.
Bud's Place Qualifier will be held on Sunday, Jan 22nd, 2012.

In compliance with one of the goals for this event anyone that attempts to Qualify at one location cannot attempt to qualify at another. This may seem restricting at first, but the goal is that the best players from each store are determined and are invited to the Finals.

This will require the TOs and I to maintain a list of participants. This should not prove to be difficult and a simple email will suffice.

As of today there are six stores planning qualifier rounds for Jan/Feb. If this is all there is to be this year, then there is discussion going on to include the top three from each store. Since space has always been a restriction, with the potential for less stores to participate than anticipated, taking the top three is completely doable.
